We often get asked this question, and it’s a good one.  First of all, it’s important to remember that Loc-Line is the original modular hose, invented back in the mid 1980′s.  Since then, there have been many imitations, but none has duplicated our quality.

What’s the secret of our quality difference?   It’s the tight tolerances to which our products are manufactured.

The beauty of Loc-Line modular hose is that each piece is able to rotate in its joint with the piece next to it.  This creates friction, and friction creates wear.  Yet our tolerances are so precise that the joints wear uniformly, and your Loc-Line modular hose stays where you place it.

Competitors pay little attention to tolerances.  Why?  It costs a lot of money to produce top quality molds and to meticulously maintain them.

What happens to competitors’ hose?  Over time, joints become sloppy, and the hose begins to droop.   This can happen before you notice it, leading to the overheating of tools.  This can cause damage to parts, and part rejection is very costly.

So stay with Loc-Line modular hose – the best in the industry!
